Pre Drywall Site Readiness
Before your blower door or airtightness test can be conducted at the pre-drywall stage, please ensure all of the following items have been completed. This helps ensure an accurate test result and avoids delays on site.
Pre-Test Checklist
- Cover and seal missing or broken window or exterior door openings
- Close and latch all windows.
- Close all exterior doors (Ensure door hardware has been installed)
- Close or seal the attic hatch.
- Close or seal the crawl space access.
- Close or seal all knee wall access doors.
- Fill all floor drains with water.
- Fill all plumbing traps with water.
- Ensure there are reliable and accessible electrical hookups on site that can be used for testing
